A young man was seen smoking marijuana while seated atop a Delta State Police Command patrol van earlier this month, as you may remember from a widely shared video.
The young man has been remanded at Sapele prison, according to an update provided by Delta State Police Command Public Relations Officer PRO, Bright Edafe, via X, also known as Twitter, on Friday, June 20, 2025. Delta State Police Command Public Relations Officer PRO Bright Edafe tweeted to confirm the suspect was remanded to Sapele prison:
A Twitter user has expressed curiosity about the young man’s imprisonment after seeing this update from Bright Edafe, writing: “For me this are boys playing what they need is serious warning from the NPF not prison unless they committed crime other than this.” “Smoking Indian hemp and we should give them serious warning?” was Bright Edafe’s response to this tweet.
