The Barcelona attacking midfielder is unavailable due to ongoing fitness issues. She has not played since March 12, when she sustained a ligament injury in her left ankle during a domestic cup clash against Real Madrid. That same injury also forced her to miss the UEFA Women’s Champions League final.
Despite being sidelined for several months, Kika was named in Portugal’s provisional Euro 2025 squad. She took part in light training on Sunday, including solo drills and short runs, as medical staff assessed her recovery progress. Further fitness tests will be conducted to determine if she will make the final squad, which must be submitted to UEFA by Wednesday at midnight.
Kika has scored 10 goals in 43 appearances for the national team but has not featured for Portugal since February. Meanwhile, the Nigerian Super Falcons and their technical crew have arrived in Lisbon, ready for the high-profile encounter. Watch The Video
