All I could recall was the final event prior to the accident. According to Opeyemi Omoboriowo’s account of the occurrence, the potholes on the badly maintained road became almost unnoticeable as soon as the rain ceased. The rider lost control of the motorcycle when it abruptly struck a pothole while it was travelling at a fast pace. Opeyemi and the rider were flung off, tumbling on the road several times as the motorbike flipped between two speeding vehicles. The driver suffered a severed head injury.
