In a gesture that has drawn admiration from fans and fellow celebrities alike, the actress celebrated the secondary school graduation of Junior Pope’s first son, Jason, with a heartfelt message and a special gift.
Jason, the eldest child of the late actor and his wife, Jennifer Odonwodo, recently graduated from secondary school, a significant milestone for the young boy who lost his father earlier this year. Empress, who has remained a close family friend, took to her Instagram page to mark the occasion, sharing a touching video from the graduation ceremony.
In her emotional post, Empress expressed immense pride in Jason’s accomplishment, noting that his father would have been incredibly proud if he were alive to witness the moment. She described the young graduate as a symbol of his father’s legacy, praising his resilience and spirit.
“I’m beyond proud of you, JASON, on your school graduation!” she wrote. “This is a milestone moment, and though your dad isn’t here to witness it physically, I’m sure he’s beaming with pride in spirit. Despite the enormous emotional and financial burden, Empress noted that Jennifer has continued to work tirelessly to support her family.
“To your amazing, beautiful, hardworking mum, who works day and night just to provide for you all, even though she can be a pain in my neck sometimes,” she wrote humorously. “You’ve done an incredible job @qutejay raising this bright young man, balancing life, and keeping your family’s spirit strong. Your strength, love, and dedication inspire me.”
In addition to her emotional tribute, Empress also surprised Jason with a thoughtful graduation gift, a brand new laptop to support his academic journey as he transitions into the next phase of his education.
