Man United Announces a New Signing Officially

With a one-year extension option, the 25-year-old forward has committed to a five-year deal at Old Trafford. After the addition of Diego Leon and Matheus Cunha, he is manager Ruben Amorim’s third summer acquisition. Mbeumo, who hailed United as “the club of his dreams,” arrives after weeks of negotiation. In early June, United made their initial bid, which was valued at £55 million. Another bid, at £62.5 million, was unsuccessful as well. Their third offer—£65 million and an additional £6 million for possible add-ons—was what ultimately persuaded Brentford to sell.

Following the announcement, Mbeumo remarked, “This is a dream come true.” Since moving from Troyes to Brentford in 2019, Mbeumo has played a significant role, making 242 games while contributing 51 assists and 70 goals. He recorded a career-high 20 Premier League goals and seven assists in the previous campaign.

Mbeumo’s speed, agility, and goal threat from wide areas are anticipated to strengthen United’s offence. Amorim is reorganising the team in preparation for the upcoming season, and the Cameroonian international brings versatility and top-tier quality.
