Transfer: People gave Lookman bad advice – Atalanta manager Juric

Atalanta manager, Ivan Juric has disclosed that some people gave Ademola Lookman bad advice during the summer transfer window following his failed move to Inter Milan.

Juric spoke at his post-match interview after Atalanta’s Serie A 3-0 win against Torino on Sunday.

Recall that Lookman was engaged in a transfer standoff with Atalanta in August following La Dea’s refusal to allow him to join Inter Milan.

The Nigerian international submitted a transfer request, went AWOL to try, and forced the move.

But Atalanta refused to allow the 27-year-old to join Inter, and the Super Eagles forward came off the bench in the 87th minute of Sunday’s win at Torino.

Speaking after the game, Juric said of Lookman: “He spoke to me and the team on Monday. He was surrounded by people who had given him some bad advice.

“He has a great winning mentality, and now we need to get him back in shape physically.”
