An economist, Ayo Teriba, has said that the Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product acceleration and inflation declaration is a cause for celebration in the country.
Teriba made this statement on Tuesday, while responding to questions in an interview on ‘The Morning Show’, a programme on Arise Television.
According to him, Nigeria’s GDP growth is accelerating.
“Nigeria’s GDP growth is accelerating. 2021 was the last time the country recorded a 4% GDP growth rate.
“To fully appreciate this emerging trend, we need to consider the broader evidence: as of 2025, we’ve seen a deceleration in the inflation rate, with August marking the lowest figures in 27 months, alongside stability in the naira and an increase in net reserves.
“The economy has transitioned from a risk phase characterized by instability and stagnation to a recovery phase,” he said.
