BREAKING: Governor Fubara Dissolves Cabinet, Sacks Commissioners

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has dissolved the State Executive Council, terminating the appointments of all commissioners and public officers affected by the recent Supreme Court judgment.

The dissolution was announced on Wednesday in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Nelson Chukwudi.

According to the statement, Governor Fubara held a private valedictory session with members of his cabinet at Government House in Port Harcourt before the dissolution took effect.

The session, which also formed part of activities marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary, provided an opportunity for the governor to commend the outgoing commissioners for their service and contributions to the state’s development over the past two years.

Fubara used the occasion to reflect on the importance of Nigeria’s independence, urging citizens to unite behind President Bola Tinubu’s administration in the quest for a peaceful, secure, and prosperous nation.

He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering on his mandate with renewed vigour and expressed gratitude to the people of Rivers State for their unwavering support.
