Tinubu’s Minister, Wale Edun Spotted at London Art Fair Amid Health Speculation [VIDEO]

The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, on Wednesday, made his first public appearance in the United Kingdom, days after reports claimed he had been flown abroad due to health concerns.

Edun was spotted at the O’DA Art Gallery booth during the 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair at Somerset House, London, where he was taken on a tour of the exhibition Lines of Spirit.

The display featured works by African artists Simon Ojeaga, Paul Majek, and Afeez Onakoya, exploring themes of form, rhythm, and transcendence within contemporary abstraction.

In a video shared by the gallery, Edun appeared calm and cheerful, dressed in a long coat and scarf as he viewed the artworks.

“It was a pleasure to welcome the Honourable Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, to the O’DA Art Gallery booth… We had the privilege of walking him through our presentation,” the gallery wrote on Instagram.

His appearance in London comes amid recent speculation about his health. Earlier this month, reports suggested that Edun had been placed on doctor-mandated rest in Abuja and could not lead Nigeria’s delegation to the World Bank–IMF meetings in New York.
