Ossai described in an interview with Oyinmomo TV how a social media exchange led to the unexpected start of her Nollywood career. She claims that Afolayan found her on Instagram and expressed interest in hiring her for a part. She unexpectedly tried her hand at auditioning over the phone, which proved to be her breakthrough technique. She admitted, “I never imagined I’d be in Nollywood.” “Aremu invited me to recite lines over the phone after seeing me on Instagram. That was the beginning of it. But when she talked about her pregnancy during that time, the most poignant aspect of her story came to light.
She disclosed that her fear and uncertainty caused her to run away from the opportunity. Ossai stated, “Aremu is a man you don’t play games with, so I fled when I was pregnant.” “I was afraid of disappointing him because he’s very disciplined and doesn’t tolerate unseriousness.” Ossai pointed out that despite the difficult start, Afolayan later supported and understood her return to the workplace after giving birth.
